Be Longing in Today’s World - IRG Retreat Cappadoccia - April 12 - 17, 2026

Join the IRG for a six-day retreat! For CMOs who have navigated complexity, driven growth, and built careers and who now feel a deeper call to reflect on purpose, presence, and legacy.

Set in the vast and ancient landscapes of Cappadocia, Turkey, this retreat offers a rare pause. A space to step out of constant motion and into a more essential conversation with yourself, with others, and with life.

Personal Impact

The IRG retreat creates a safe space to guide participants through their personal journeys for both their current and future paths.

Enjoy this short video and discover the impact of last year's experience.

The Intention

This retreat is not about acquiring new tools or frameworks.

It is about inner development, the foundation of authentic leadership.

Participants will:

  • Slow down and deepen awareness
  • Reconnect with their inner voice and deepest longing
  • Explore belonging — to self, others, and life
  • Integrate insights into daily leadership and living

The journey is experiential, reflective, and relational. It unfolds at a human pace, in a small and carefully curated group.

The setting

  • The Cappadocia region is part of the experience.
  • Its ancient rock formations, wide horizons, and profound silence create a natural environment for perspective, reflection, and inner movement. This is a place shaped by time, erosion, and transformation, mirroring the themes explored during the retreat.
  • Nature is not used as a backdrop, but as a quiet co-facilitator.

About the location

Created with the foresight of an award-winning French architect in the 1990’s, “Les Maisons de Cappadoce” offers their guests a combination of an impressive hotel atmosphere and individual accommodation packed with creative details complimenting the natural architecture, wonderful scenery, fauna and colours of Cappadocia.

Program agenda

April 12

Program in Istanbul. Unwinding, connecting with ancient wisdoms.

Travel from Istanbul to Cappadoccia

Day 1 Be

Presence & awareness

We begin by arriving — fully.

This first day is about stepping out of habitual acceleration and into presence. The hum of constant thinking softens, awareness widens, and attention returns to the body, the senses, and the moment.

Through simple practices, silence, and shared reflection, participants cultivate awareness of:

- Their surroundings

- The group

- Themselves

-And ultimately, awareness itself

This creates the ground from which the journey unfolds.

Day 2 Longing

Listening to the inner voice

When the noise quiets, something else becomes audible

This day explores the inner voice — not the voice of ambition or expectation, but the voice of deep longing. The quiet intelligence that knows direction before strategy forms.

Participants are invited to:

- Create conditions for genuine inner listening

- Distinguish ego-driven desire from deeper longing

- Explore trust in intuition

- Reconnect with what feels meaningful and alive

This is not about answers, but about alignment

Day 3 Belonging

Being at home with yourself and others

True belonging begins within.

On this day, we explore what it means to belong — physically, socially, emotionally, and existentially. Participants reflect on identity beyond role and title, and on what it takes to feel at home in oneself, in relationships, and in life.

Themes include:

- Belonging versus fitting in

- Safety, grounding, and emotional presence

- Authenticity in relationship

- Leadership as a space of belonging

Day 4 Always belonging

Integration into life and leadership

Insight only matters when it is lived.

The final day focuses on integration — gently translating inner shifts into everyday leadership and life. Not as action plans, but as embodied choices, new ways of showing up, and sustained practices

Participants explore:

- What has shifted

- What they choose to carry forward

- How leadership changes when grounded in presence and belonging

What kind of legacy they wish to leave
