Her notable achievements include launching the “It’s Better with Block” campaign featuring Max the Taxcot, which doubled site visits and boosted brand consideration by 30%. Wendy also modernized H&R Block’s customer insights function, creating The Insights Engine to democratize customer knowledge, and championed A Fair Shot, a program advancing equity in NIL deals for female athletes.
Before joining H&R Block, Wendy served as Vice President at Barkley Public Relations, where she led major accounts like the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day, which raised over $800 million, and Blue Bunny Ice Cream, where she launched the brand’s first national consumer media relations program.
A proud University of Nebraska alumna, Wendy applies her Midwestern values to both work and life. Outside the office, she enjoys cheering on her children at soccer and softball games, organizing (and participating in) theme parties, and spending summer weekends at Lake of the Ozarks.
Wendy’s personal motto, “Work hard and be nice to people,” reflects her approach to every endeavor.
